During the evening we'll cover how only a small percentage of Doctors of Osteopathy (DO's) practice manual medicine, and discuss the value of respecting and understanding how this important modality represents the key tenets of integrative care, which is simply "good medicine." Dr. Patterson will share how she combines osteopathic and functional/integrative medicine as her dynamic, foundational integrative medicine offering.
As part of the evening discussion, we'll review the components integrative patient appointment including how PIM approaches care. Dr. Tetlow will share the difference between a purely conventional vs biopsychosocial vs holistic integrative medicine approach, and how patients and practitioners are both powerfully served in the latter model.
Toward the end of the evening, community practitioners will be invited to share their unique approach to practice - for collaboration and mutual learning: practitoners: how does your healing appraoch complement the integartive lens presented tonight?
