It Started with One Room and One Vision

Dr. Georgia Tetlow founded PIM in 2009 after realizing conventional care didn’t give her time to truly listen to patients. With a background in mindfulness, yoga therapy, and a fellowship at the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine, she began seeing patients in a small rented office while working in nursing homes to support her dream. Today, that vision has evolved into a leading team-based practice transforming lives every day.

Our Journey So Far

Advancing Whole-Person Integrative Care for Nearly 25 Years

“We recognize that the current healthcare model labels people and asks them to conform. My clinical experience is that when you label someone, it can put a stigma on them, and then they can stigmatize themselves. At Philadelphia Integrative Medicine, we understand your underlying physiology, personalize solutions for you, and care for you by giving you the tools to be well.”

FAQs

Understanding Your Care

We know integrative and functional medicine can be new territory for many. That’s why we’ve answered some of the most common questions about what we do, how we work, and what you can expect.

Still have a question?
What is integrative and functional medicine?
Integrative and functional medicine combine the best of conventional medical science with holistic, root-cause approaches. At Philadelphia IM, we look beyond symptoms to understand how your genetics, lifestyle, environment, and emotional health contribute to your overall well-being.
Our visits are longer, more personalized, and collaborative. You’ll meet with board-certified providers who take the time to truly listen, explore your story, and develop a care plan tailored to your unique biology—not a one-size-fits-all protocol.
Philadelphia Integrative Medicine is a cash-based practice. This means we do not bill insurance directly, but we can provide a superbill you may submit for potential reimbursement. We believe this model allows for more comprehensive, unrestricted care.
We see patients with a wide range of concerns—from autoimmune conditions and gut health to hormone imbalances, chronic fatigue, and perimenopause. Whether you’re managing symptoms or optimizing long-term wellness, our team can help.
Your first visit is a deep dive into your health history, current symptoms, and life context. We may order specialty labs and begin building a treatment plan with you. You’ll leave feeling heard, supported, and clear on next steps.
