Meet Dr. Patterson
About Me
Jennifer Patterson, DO, MMH, is originally from Waxhaw, NC, and has called Philadelphia home for the past 15 years. Her lifelong interest in mind-body medicine was sparked when she saw Bill Moyers' special “Healing and the Mind ” in her early teens. Dr. Patterson’s formal education began at Vassar College with a degree in Psychology in 2001, followed by a master’s degree in the Medical Humanities from Drew University in 2004. She is a 2015 graduate from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed her Family Medicine Residency at Lower Bucks Hospital in 2018, followed by a Fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2021.
In addition to being a board-certified Osteopathic Family Medicine Physician with a focus in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM), Dr. Patterson is also certified in Cognitive Hypnosis Therapy through the International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association, and is pursuing additional training in Functional Medicine through the Institute of Functional Medicine.
Dr. Patterson is thrilled to combine her hypnosis, OMM and functional medicine expertise to help remove barriers to healing in both mind and body. Each modality supports the others as part of a Whole person, holistic approach to health. She is particularly interested in helping her patients maintain their best cognitive and physical balance in every stage of life, while maintaining emotional health and work-life balance.
When she is not working, Dr. Patterson prefers to be outside, playing with her kids and husband, gardening, hiking, and climbing trees. When she has to be inside, you can find her crafting and creating, learning the piano, and finding creative ways to make healthy meals for her family.
Some fun facts about Dr. Patterson:
She doesn't like buying things that she could easily make herself.

Dr. Jen is fascinated by the human body and her curiosity and appreciation deeply inform her clinical work.
